Saturday February 28, 2009 - Go-Cart Challenge
Maserati of Sacramento hosted its first ever go cart challenge for it's very
passionate customer base last Saturday at RPM indoor go-cart track.
Customers leaped at the chance to race in a grueling 75 lap format to race
for points and prizes. Customers had 50 laps to gain their fastest times
and qualify for position in the final 25 lap Gran Prix where the fastest
time on the track (17.68) gained the pole. The competitive juices flowed
when the start of the race saw 12 eager racers darting for position until a
small group tangled around lap 16 stopping the race momentarily to remove a
damaged cart. The final 9 laps proved to be even more exciting with all 11
remaining drivers racing wheel to wheel ultimately wrestling to become
number 1. Luckily, the rest finished unscathed and Maserati of Sacramento
announced the top 3 drivers (Angelo, Jeff and Bobbie)and presented trophies
to the extremely happy winners. The 14 drivers (and potentially more) will
now compete at the next race event on March 28, 2009 where the quest for the
championship continues. The driver accumulating the most points at the end
of the 3 race challenge will win free track time at one of Maserati of
Sacramento's driving schools scheduled in May, June, and October. As said
by one of our customers, "trophies are great but I want to be known by all
of these guys as the fastest, I will see you next time at the winners stand
sitting on the big number 1". Bring it on!!!!, everyone cheered.
